As an activist it's important to not get too focused on one topic, lest I forget about the rest of the world and all the great parts of life that make a cause worth fighting for. So in the vein I've decided to write a monthly book review to add to the updates. The added bonus being that any purchase will help contribute to the cause. This months book is Amy Lynn.
Award winning author Jack July might be the best writer you've never heard of. His series of novels about a little girl from Black Oak, Alabama that grows up to be a protector of children has garnered a small, but powerful cult following. With over a hundred 5 star reviews on Amazon it's not hard to see why. Something about these stories connects with readers. Perhaps it's the strong heroine, the pro-American message, or the fantastic story-telling.
Amy Lynn is the beginning, the story that explains why she is who she is and why we should care. A victim of a horrifying assault, Amy is taken under the wing of her war hero uncle and taught to focus her pain and anger. Her training allows her to take back a part of what was stolen, giving her the strength to overcome evil and become self-reliant.
Definitely worth a read! Or a listen since it's now also available as an audio book.
